Portrait photograph of Mrs. Naomi Gilkey Coulter (April 6, 1897-January 10, 1973) wife of of Arthur Clifton Coulter. She was a schoolteacher for forty-four years and taught at Mann High School Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, where she was a sponsor of the National Honor Society, 1954-62. Coulter was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, the YWCA, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Arkansas Council of Church Women United and the Francis Harper Charity Club. She was also a board member of the Urban League. She was buried in Fraternal Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Joseph Shrader (1870-1946) was born in Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1892. In 1910 he moved to Little Rock, where he opened a photograph studio. He was joined in the business by his wife, Bertha Frank Shrader, and later by his son, Buddy. After a fire in 1933 destroyed all their images up to that time, Shrader reopened in a new location.
